Lab Grown Diamonds - what are they?
Man
made diamonds are those grown in the laboratory with the application of
modern high pressure high temperature (HPHT) technology. The concept of
HPHT technology lies in the imitation of the same conditions needed for
natural diamond formation, that is intense heat and high pressure. Man
made diamonds are grown from the same material as natural ones are made
of - it is carbon. As a result, created gemstones possess similar characteristics
of naturally occurring diamonds: visual, chemical and physical. Cultivated
diamonds are flawless, solid, long lasting, fadeless, wearproof, scratch
resistant and possess unique fire of natural diamonds. Moreover, created
diamonds are grown individually the same as natural gemstones. It takes
from 2 to 4 days to grow a precious gem. So, man made diamonds are 100%
real diamonds with the only difference they are made by man but not dug
from under the ground.
